Sunshine Nutrition Vitamin D 1000 Iu 100 Tablets
Sunshine Nutrition's Vitamin D Tablets are formulated with Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol), the body's preferred form of Vitamin D. Commonly known as Sunshine Vitamin.
Our current fast-paced lifestyle limits the exposure to natural sunlight for the required period to produce Vitamin D and also as we age, the receptors in the body for this conversion decreases. Hence supplementation is necessary.
Vitamin D promotes calcium absorption in the gut and maintains adequate serum calcium and phosphate concentrations to enable normal mineralization of bone and to prevent hypocalcemic tetany. It is also needed for bone growth and bone remodeling by osteoblasts and osteoclasts. Without sufficient Vitamin D, bones can become thin, brittle, or misshapen. Vitamin D sufficiency prevents rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults. Together with calcium, Vitamin D also helps protect older adults from osteoporosis.
Vitamin D has other roles in the body, including modulation of cell growth, neuromuscular and immune function, and reduction of inflammation.
SUGGESTED USE:
For 1000 IU: As a dietary supplement for adults, take one (1) tablet 2-1 times daily, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by the healthcare practitioner.
